Die Einigung wird in den nächsten Tagen dem Ausschuss der Ständigen Vertreter zur Billigung vorgelegt. Anschließend werden das Parlament und der Rat ersucht, die vorgeschlagene Verordnung in erster Lesung anzunehmen.

Pour prévenir un nouveau scandale du type de celui des émissions de Volkswagen, les députés de la commission du marché intérieur ont modifié jeudi les règles du système d’homologation des véhicules de l’UE. L’objectif visé est de faire en sorte que les essais de sécurité et environnementaux soient plus indépendants, et de renforcer la capacité de contrôle de l’UE et des États membres sur les véhicules déjà en circulation.
