Május 19-én megkezdődött a vadállatok veszettség elleni vakcinázása Kárpátalja erdős és mezei területein. A kampány során összesen 178,5 ezer adag vakcinát helyeznek ki.

Az Ukrán Állami Élelmiszer-biztonsági és Fogyasztóvédelmi Szolgálat  szerint a csalétkeket főként lakott területeken kívül szórják szét, hogy a vadállatok elfogyasztás után legalább egyéves immunitást szerezzenek.

Az ukrán állategészségügyi szolgálat közlése szerint a vakcinák nem veszélyesek sem az emberekre, sem a háziállatokra, a lakosságot ugyanakkor arra kérik, hogy ne érintsék meg és ne vigyék el a kihelyezett csalétkeket, mert ez csökkentheti a vakcinázási program hatékonyságát.

Az amerikai Institute for the Study of War (ISW) szerint az ukrán hadsereg az elmúlt hónapokban több frontszakaszon is sikeres ellentámadást hajtott végre, és részben visszaszerezte a taktikai kezdeményezést – közölte az UNIAN hírügynökség május 21-én.

A jelentés szerint az ukrán erők visszafoglalták Kupjanszk nagy részét, valamint 2026 tavaszán több mint 400 négyzetkilométernyi területet szereztek vissza Dél-Ukrajnában. Az ISW arról is beszámolt, hogy újabb települések kerültek ukrán ellenőrzés alá a zaporizzsjai frontszakaszon.

Az elemzők szerint az ukrán drón- és rakétacsapások egyre komolyabb nyomást helyeznek az orosz logisztikára és tartalékokra, ami lassíthatja Moszkva nyári offenzíváját.

Ukrán közlések szerint az orosz csapatokat több megerősített állásból is kiszorították a Sztepnohirszk környékén.
