On the last day of the United Kingdom's membership of the EU, European Council President Charles Michel, European Parliament President David Sassoli and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen published an article in several European media.

The Council has adopted the decision on the conclusion of the withdrawal agreement on behalf of the EU. The withdrawal agreement will enter into force upon the UK's exit from the EU, on 31 January 2020 at midnight.

The meeting of the European Council will take place on 20 February in the Europa building in Brussels. The press centre is located in the adjacent Justus Lipsius building.

A joint press statement was issued after the 6th meeting of the Association Council between the EU and Ukraine.

The EU issued a declaration on the Middle East Peace Process, restating its commitment to a negotiated and viable two-state solution.

The Council added seven new names to the EU's sanctions list over actions against Ukraine's territorial integrity.

President Michel called for a meeting of the EU heads of state or government to discuss the EU's long-term budget, the Multiannual Financial Framework.

During President Charles Michel’s visit to Skopje, he and President Stevo Pendarovski held a joint press conference. They touched on the main points of their meeting: the reform of the accession process and the EU-Western Balkans summit to be held in Zagreb in May.

During his visit to Tirana, President Charles Michel met Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama and held a joint press conference. They highlighted the main topics of their discussion: EU-Albania relations, the future of the accession process and the upcoming EU-Western Balkans summit in Zagreb.
