The Council has adopted the decision on the conclusion of the withdrawal agreement on behalf of the EU. The withdrawal agreement will enter into force upon the UK's exit from the EU, on 31 January 2020 at midnight.
The meeting of the European Council will take place on 20 February in the Europa building in Brussels. The press centre is located in the adjacent Justus Lipsius building.
President Michel called for a meeting of the EU heads of state or government to discuss the EU's long-term budget, the Multiannual Financial Framework.
