A Tanács a mai napon hivatalosan elfogadta az EU 2026. évi költségvetését. A költségvetés az Európai Parlamenttel folytatott tárgyalások eredményeként alakult ki, amely tárgyalások 2025. november 15-én megállapodáshoz vezettek.

A Tanács határozatokat fogadott el, amelyek révén három támogatási intézkedést vezet be az Európai Békekeret égisze alatt Jordánia, a Kongói Demokratikus Köztársaság és Csád támogatása céljából. Az intézkedések célja a kedvezményezett országok katonai és védelmi kapacitásainak megerősítése a belső reziliencia és a béke elősegítése érdekében.
