Producing more while reducing the impact on the climate and the environment: this is the challenge facing the agricultural world today, presented as one of the keys to a successful green transition by the French and European public authorities. We started to investigate Artificial Intelligence decades ago with an R&D focus. In 2017, we fully realized the potential of this technology and decided to use it as a driver of change at EDF. Since then, a hundred use-cases have been investigated and around thirty are implemented in our different business units.
